Agreement to These Terms
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of all services, products, content, and platforms provided by Luminaryx Hub, including our website, video course library, live private lesson system, conversation club platform, and corporate training programs. By accessing or using any part of our services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms in their entirety.
If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use our services. These Terms apply to all users, including students, corporate clients, and any other individuals or entities accessing Luminaryx Hub content or infrastructure.
Luminaryx Hub reserves the right to update, revise, or modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be published on this page. Continued use of our services following publication of any revision constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. We encourage you to review this document periodically.
Eligibility and Account Requirements
To access Luminaryx Hub services, you must be at least 18 years of age or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is greater. If you are enrolling on behalf of a minor, a parent or legal guardian must complete registration and accept these Terms in their name.
Account Registration
When creating a Luminaryx Hub account, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately if you suspect any unauthorized access or breach of your account security.
Luminaryx Hub reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that contain inaccurate registration data, violate these Terms, or engage in activity that is harmful to other users, instructors, or the integrity of our platform.
Corporate and B2B Accounts
Organizations enrolling teams of five or more individuals through our B2B program agree that the representative completing registration has authority to bind the organization to these Terms. Corporate accounts are subject to additional provisions as outlined in the Corporate Training Agreement provided separately upon program commencement.
Description of Services
Luminaryx Hub provides the following core educational services:
- Interactive Video Courses: Pre-recorded instructional modules covering German language instruction from A1 through C1 level, as defined by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Courses include embedded exercises, vocabulary components, and grammar practice units.
- Private Live Lessons: Scheduled one-on-one online sessions conducted via video conferencing software between a student and a Luminaryx Hub certified instructor. Session duration, frequency, and curriculum are agreed upon at the time of enrollment.
- Conversation Clubs: Live small-group sessions limited to a maximum of six participants per session, moderated by a Luminaryx Hub instructor. Sessions focus on spoken German fluency at B1 to C1 levels and operate on a weekly or bi-weekly schedule.
- Corporate Language Training: Custom-designed team-based language programs for businesses, designed to develop German language capability within professional teams operating in or engaging with German-speaking markets.
Luminaryx Hub delivers all services entirely online. We do not operate physical classroom facilities. All instruction is conducted in English and/or German depending on program level and student preference. Access to services is contingent on payment of the applicable fee at the time of enrollment or under the terms of an active corporate agreement.
Service Availability
We make commercially reasonable efforts to ensure that our platform and services are available at all times. However, Luminaryx Hub does not guarantee uninterrupted access. Scheduled maintenance, technical failures, or circumstances outside our control may result in temporary service unavailability. In the event of extended downtime affecting paid sessions, we will provide appropriate rescheduling or credit.
Pricing, Payment, and Refund Policy
Pricing
All prices are displayed in United States Dollars (USD) and are subject to change. Luminaryx Hub reserves the right to adjust pricing at any time. Price changes will not affect sessions or course access already paid for at the time of adjustment. Current pricing for each program is displayed on our Programs page.
Payment Terms
Full payment is required at the time of enrollment for video courses and conversation club sessions. For private lesson packages, payment is due prior to the first session unless a specific deferred payment arrangement has been authorized in writing by a Luminaryx Hub account representative. Corporate training agreements follow the payment schedule outlined in the applicable corporate contract.
We accept payment via major credit cards and other methods available at checkout. All transactions are processed through secure third-party payment processors. Luminaryx Hub does not store your full payment card information.
Refund Policy
Video Courses: A full refund is available within 7 days of purchase, provided that fewer than 20% of the course modules have been accessed. After this window, or once the access threshold is exceeded, no refund will be issued.
Private Lessons: Unused sessions within a purchased package may be refunded at a prorated rate upon written request within 30 days of purchase. Sessions cancelled by the student with fewer than 24 hours notice are forfeit and not eligible for credit or refund. Sessions cancelled by our instructor will be rescheduled or credited in full.
Conversation Clubs: Sessions cancelled by the student with fewer than 12 hours notice are not eligible for credit or refund. Sessions cancelled by Luminaryx Hub will be rescheduled or credited in full.
Corporate Programs: Refund terms for corporate training programs are governed by the applicable corporate agreement and supersede the standard refund terms above.
Disputes
If you believe a charge was made in error, you must contact our support team within 30 days of the transaction. We will investigate and respond within five business days. Initiating a chargeback through your bank without first contacting Luminaryx Hub may result in suspension of your account pending resolution.
Intellectual Property Rights
All content available through Luminaryx Hub, including but not limited to video modules, written course materials, exercises, assessments, graphics, audio recordings, design elements, instructor likenesses, lesson plans, and curriculum frameworks, is the exclusive intellectual property of Luminaryx Hub or its licensed contributors and is protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.
Permitted Use
Upon enrollment and payment, Luminaryx Hub grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use course content solely for your personal, non-commercial educational purposes. This license does not permit:
- Recording, reproducing, distributing, or reselling any course content in any format
- Sharing login credentials or account access with any third party
- Creating derivative works based on Luminaryx Hub materials without express written permission
- Scraping, copying, or otherwise extracting content from our platform by automated or manual means
- Using our content for commercial instruction, resale, or redistribution in any context
Corporate Use
Corporate clients receive access rights covering enrolled team members only. Redistribution of content beyond the licensed team, or use of Luminaryx Hub materials in any internal training system not covered under the corporate agreement, is a violation of these Terms and may result in immediate termination of the corporate contract and pursuit of applicable legal remedies.
Acceptable Use and Student Conduct
Luminaryx Hub maintains a professional learning environment. Users of our platform, including participants in live sessions and conversation clubs, agree to conduct themselves in a manner consistent with the following standards:
- Treat all instructors and fellow participants with professionalism and respect
- Refrain from using discriminatory, abusive, threatening, or sexually explicit language or conduct in any live session
- Not attempt to solicit personal contact information from instructors outside the Luminaryx Hub platform
- Not engage in any activity that disrupts the learning experience of other participants
- Not attempt to impersonate another user, instructor, or Luminaryx Hub representative
- Not use our platform to transmit spam, malware, or any content that is unlawful or harmful
Violations of this conduct policy may result in immediate removal from live sessions, suspension of account access, or permanent termination of enrollment without refund, at the sole discretion of Luminaryx Hub.
Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
No Guarantee of Outcome
Luminaryx Hub provides educational services designed to support German language acquisition. However, we make no warranty or guarantee that any student will achieve any specific language level, pass any examination, obtain employment, or realize any particular career outcome as a result of using our services. Results vary by individual, effort, and application.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Luminaryx Hub shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use our services. Our total aggregate liability to any user for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the total amount paid by that user to Luminaryx Hub in the 90 days preceding the claim.
Third-Party Services
Our platform may rely on or integrate with third-party services including video conferencing software and payment processors. Luminaryx Hub is not responsible for the performance, security, or terms of third-party services. Your use of those services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies.
Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Missouri, United States of America, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of Luminaryx Hub services shall be resolved through binding arbitration administered under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, conducted in Kansas City, Missouri, unless both parties mutually agree to another method.
You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration against Luminaryx Hub. Nothing in this section limits your right to file a complaint with applicable consumer protection authorities.
Termination of Access
Luminaryx Hub reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access to any or all services at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we determine, in our sole discretion, violates these Terms or is harmful to the interests of other users, instructors, or our organization. Upon termination, your license to use course content is revoked and your account may be deactivated.
You may terminate your use of Luminaryx Hub services at any time by contacting our support team to close your account. Account closure does not automatically entitle you to a refund. Refund eligibility is determined according to the terms in Section 04.
Miscellaneous Provisions
Entire Agreement. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Luminaryx Hub regarding your use of our services and supersede any prior agreements or understandings.
Severability. If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
Waiver. Failure by Luminaryx Hub to enforce any provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of our right to enforce that provision or any other provision in the future.
Assignment. You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without the prior written consent of Luminaryx Hub. We may assign our rights and obligations without restriction.
